CD-102.1 - HEMINGRAY Sold For: $853 Color: Aqua w/ Awesome Amber EIN: [010]
 | Wow, what swirls! The Hemingray embossing is the only variety of CD 102.1, and it's uncommon to find any with amber. This example has an amazing group of stringers and ribbons, over an inch wide, running from the skirt to the dome. Some of them continue across the bottom of the skirt and others flow from the dome back to the skirt. In fact, there are some other impurities in these streaks that make them look like strings of algae! A thin 1/2" flake on the mold line opposite the "main event", a few other imperfections here and there, but who will be looking for them? It's hard to put an estimate on this, so we'll let the bidders decide! What a great presentation! |

CD-102.1 - HEMINGRAY / No 14 Sold For: $528 Color: Aqua "Snow Globe"
 | Typically, these insulators are mundane looking aqua pieces, but this example is filled with an amazing amount of snow, giving it a translucent appearance when backlit. See lot 146 for another great "snow globe" example! This was previously listed as CD 102; however, since it does not have a wire ridge like the CD 102, it is now classified as the new CD 102.1. CD collectors, are you listening? |
