CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE Sold For: $198 Color: Cornflower Blue
This insulator sports the classic Duquesne Cornflower Blue coloration, highlighted by an amber swirl in the dome! These are often pretty rough and crude, but this example appears to be molded quite well. Perhaps an unlisted embossing, as the "DUQUESNE" in the front is either blotted out or very faint. "GLASS.CO." can be clearly seen in the rear. Duquesne operated in the Pittsburgh, PA area from approximately 1905 through 1908. Fine condition, and a piece that should be of interest to Duquesne collectors!

CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE Sold For: $264 Color: Cornflower Blue
This insulator was produced by the Duquesne Glass Company. They were in business in the Pittsburgh area from 1905 through approximately 1908, and most of these "peak tops" have been found in that general area. 1/4" flake on the wire ridge, several dings here and there. For another Duquesne, see the CD 106.3 in lot 28. A nice bright example!

CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE Sold For: $264 Color: Cornflower Blue w/ Amber Swirls EIN: [035]
This Duquesne has an extra bonus of numerous amber swirls from the skirt to the dome! Typical crude molding. 3/8" wire ridge flake, otherwise very near mint. The dark spot on the rear is a nearly enclosed bubble that has some soot in it. It is not a bruise. The Duquesne Glass Company was in business in the Pittsburgh area from 1905 through approximately 1908, and most of these "peak tops" have been found in that general area. An unusual and desirable variation on your basic Cornflower Blue coloration!

CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE Sold For: $198 Color: Bright Cornflower Blue
| A number of these are quite crude but this is better than many. The Duquesne Glass Company was in business in the Pittsburgh area from 1905 through approximately 1908, and most of these "peak tops" have been found in that general area. 1/8" wire ridge flake otherwise easily very near mint. CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE // GLASS CO. Sold For: $77 Color: Blue Aqua
Typical crude molding with a little roughness on the top of the upper wire ridge. The Duquesne Glass Company was in business in the Pittsburgh area from 1905 through approximately 1908, and most of these "peak tops" have been found in that general area.

CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE / G.CO. Sold For: $121 Color: Cornflower Sky Blue
Very, very near mint. These are often quite crudely molded, especially the upper wire ridge/lower crown region. This one is exceptionally well molded in that area. This is the uncommon [020] embossing with the same embossing on the front and rear skirts; it reads "(Dome) [backwards '9']. (F-Skirt) DUQUESNE./G.CO. (R-Skirt) DUQUESNE./G.CO." An unusual amber streak can be seen meandering up from the skirt to the dome. A great example, and a special insulator in great condition for the Duquesne collector!

CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE Sold For: $176 Color: Cornflower Blue
Just about perfect! The Duquesne Glass Company was in business in the Pittsburgh area from 1905 through approximately 1908, and most of these "peak tops" have been found in that general area. Nice and shiny! (#0959)

CD-106.1 - DUQUESNE GLASS.CO. Cornflower Blue Sold For: $110 Color: Cornflower Blue
A little area of pitting on the rear skirt and a couple of dome dings; not that bad all around. Weak embossing, probably due to an underpour, which adds character. A short amber streak goes up into the dome. A classic Cornflower Blue! (#1078)
