CD-109 - CHICAGO INSULATING CO. Sold For: $2,860 Color: Light Blue Aqua
| Great flutes! No chips or flakes. This was one of the two styles of the patented "Fisk & Mott High Resistance Insulator" sold by the Chicago Insulating Company. Several dings and scuffs here and there, one of which affects "O" and "T" in "OCT." 1/8" open bubble and flaking and a 1/4" bubble with some flaking that affects "I" in "INSULATING." The CD 135 style is much easier to obtain than this "Chicago Teardrop Pony" style. The flutes, designed to hold the wire away from most of the wire groove, make this quite an unusual and desirable style. This is quite rare and of special interest to the CD collector! |

CD-109 - CHICAGO INSULATING CO. Sold For: $2,475 Color: Blue Aqua
| Four of the six flutes are perfect, the other two have about a 1/8" flake on each. A little factory potstone spider. The base embossing is crisp and strong. This insulator is in excellent condition for this very damage-prone style. The flutes make for an unusual design. This is a tough CD to acquire as it is rarely offered for sale! |
