No base damage, making the bold base embossing perfect and easy to read! |

 | This is the rare arc-embossed "NEW ENG.TEL & TEL CO." variant. The embossing is in a tight arc, making it easily readable in its entirety from the front. The piece has the expected "NAT.INSULATOR CO." with the three patent dates on the base. The corkscrew is in very good condition with damage limited to a 3/4" area of flaking at the top. Two 1/4" lower wire ridge chips and a 1/4" base flake. Not really all that bad for this style. For completeness, a small open bubble on the base removes the "T" in "INSULATOR". A great example! |

 | A few flakes on the wire ridge and threads, some roughness on the wire ridge and groove which appear to be factory molding artifacts. Shows signs of having been buried, and may have been very lightly polished. This is the less common "straight line" embossing. A nice amber band runs from the base of the skirt, up to and around the threads, and back to the upper skirt. (#1156) |

 | {Segmented threads} Flake and a number of pings and dings on the upper wire ridge. The spiral itself is in great shape. The first line of the embossing is a little weak, but you can see it's the "straight line" embossing, which is harder to find! There is some light haze and minor etching, indicating the insulator was probably dug. The oval spot on the spiral is a closed bubble with white debris in it. Own a bit of New England history!  | A chip on the upper spiral; otherwise VNM. The glass flowed on the front skirt, pushing some of the embossing up to form an arc. That part of the embossing is a little weak, but it makes it a little unique. This is both a desirable Light Green color and has the straight line NEW ENG.TEL.& TEL.CO. embossing which is the rarest of all the CD 110.5 variants. See lot 25 and lot 28 for additional variations!
