CD-121.4 - A.U. Sold For: $88 Color: Light Green
 | This CD style is getting tougher to acquire. Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company for the short-lived American Union Telegraph Company. One can very clearly see the "A.U." embossed on the front skirt. Some dings and scuffs, perhaps indicating it was buried, but no glass is missing. 3/4" flake at the base of the threads. Hemingray collectors should note that the CD 121.4 is always embossed with the patent date of December 19, 1871. Add this old Hemingray insulator to your collection! |

CD-121.4 - A.U. Sold For: $198 Color: Light Blue Aqua w/ Huge Bubbles
 | Very good condition. This early Hemingray insulator is rarely found with character. A 2" wide bubble in the skirt is directly below a 3/4" bubble in the wire ridge. Air trapped in the mold created the lower bubble, which is open to the threads. The upper bubble has the gray sheen of graphite residue, resulting from metal vaporizing in the glass. This fantastic "A.U." will certainly add some pizzazz to a Hemingray or 1871 collection! (#0109) |
