CD-124 - HEMINGRAY Sold For: $352 Color: Aqua w/ Amber Swirls
The amber swirls in the CD 124 Hemingray pieces run from amazing to barely visible. This example has an especially unusual and distinctive feature of a large and thick "C" of amber on the dome. You can see areas of amber in the skirt and dome around the rest of the insulator. Perfect drip points! The most you might be able to comment about is a little rubbing in the wire groove. Outstanding condition coupled with the extra thick amber swirl makes this a wonderful example!

CD-124 - DEC. 19 Sold For: $352 Color: "Diamond Cornflower"
We called this "Diamond Cornflower" as it is an exact match to the CD 102 Diamond in lot 16. View 3 shows this piece next to the CD 102. Please note this is not the typical Cornflower color that people associate with Hemingray as it is much lighter. One can see some darker blue swirls in the dome. An unusual and uncommon color for this style, especially in this fine condition!

CD-124 - HEMINGRAY / No 4 Sold For: $94 Color: Green w/ Amber Swirls
1/2" skirt chip in front affects 1 drip point, 1/2" skirt chip in rear affects 1 drip point, otherwise about very near mint. Hemingray No 4 insulators exist with a variety of base colors and swirl patterns. This is a nice example with a base color of green, while still exhibiting some pronounced swirling, especially in the dome. This would contrast well with the other swirled varieties of CD 124's!

CD-124 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $132 Color: Ice Green
Easily grades at very near mint. Prior to marking their name on the No 4 style insulators, Hemingray used their 1871 patent date for "Improvement in Molding Telegraph Insulators." After going through several mold variations in today's CD 124 range, Hemingray decided to continue on with this variant, so it makes an interesting cross-over piece! (#0132)

CD-124 - HEMINGRAY / No 4 Sold For: $66 Color: Aqua w/ Amber Swirls
Great condition with perfect drip points. The amber swirling in the No 4s ranges from faint traces to heavy bands throughout the entire insulator. This one lies somewhere in the middle. The swirls are more pronounced when viewed from the rear. A nice 1/2" bubble enhances the character even more! (#2168)

CD-124 - HEMINGRAY / No 4 Sold For: $121 Color: Aqua w/ Heavy Amber Swirls
1" scallop bruise in the front, otherwise at least very near mint. From the front, there is more of a two tone effect. The swirling is more pronounced in the rear, where one can see fantastic vertical loops of amber over the dome and down the pinhole. This is certainly one of the better swirled CD 124s you will encounter! (#0121)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-124 - HEMINGRAY / No 4 Sold For: $88 Color: Aqua w/ Milk Swirls
Very good condition with a few flaked drips. Although one often encounters amber swirling in these insulators, it is more unusual to find them with milk swirls! This is an old number 4 style 1871 mold that was re-engraved with the Hemingray name and the May 2, 1893 drip point patent date. One can see the new bold prism embossing contrasting with the older, less prominent embossing. The base ring was modified to add the patented drip points. A great example of a milk-swirled CD 124! (#2160)
