CD-124.2 - DEC. 19 Sold For: $528 Color: Deep Aqua
Both CD 124.2 and CD 124.3 have risen significantly in value as collectors recognize the rarity of these styles. This CD 124.2 continues to remain more elusive than the CD 124.3. A convenient way to differentiate the two CD numbers is that the CD 124.2 has two ridges. 1/2" and 1/4" base flakes/chips. Some bruising around the pinhole, some minor scuffing overall. Pair this with the CD 124.3 in lot 48 for a great duo! An extremely desirable early No 4 Hemingray telegraph style!

CD-124.2 - PATENT DEC 19 Sold For: $374 Color: Light Green
A recently dug example from Ohio. A little haze and scuffing and a 1" base flake. A crude, early style by Hemingray that has seen significantly increased interest over the years and has become difficult to acquire, especially in a more desirable color such as this one. Get this fresh, new insulator that has barely seen the light of day in over 100 years!

CD-124.2 - Dec 1871 Sold For: $715 Color: Blue aqua.
These early Hemingray ponies have become quite desirable in recent years and we are seeing their values steadily climb. Where some shade variants were once considered more valuable than others, all are now seeing record prices. Condition is usually fairly good on the majority of these, with this example being no exception. Out-of-round base for great character (View 3)!

CD-124.2 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $418 Color: Light Icy Green
Some typical roughness on the base and a 1" bruise on the base in the rear. Hemingray produced four variants of this number 4 style: CD 124, 124.1, 124.2 and 124.3. The CD 124.1 is extremely rare, followed by the CD 124.2 which is elusive to find. A desirable addition to the Hemingray, CD or early telegraph insulator collection!

CD-124.2 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $209 Color: Bright Light Green
Some base chipping and a dime-sized flake/bruise on the rear of the crown. The rarity of this style has now become more apparent and the price has soared! Who knows how high it might go? Strong embossing, a rare CD and a nice color add up to make this a very desirable early piece made by Hemingray! (#2181)

CD-124.2 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $198 Color: Aqua w/ Milk Swirls
Crude base. Several flakes and dings near the mold lines, a small flake/bruise on the lower wire ridge. There are some nice milky veils, most prominent in the front skirt. This CD is getting harder and harder to acquire and this one has a bonus with the addition of the milk. Don't pass it by! (#2183)

CD-124.2 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $297 Color: Light Green Aqua w/ Milk Wisps
The base is very crude and there is some flaking on it, the rest is about VNM. Several nice milky strands start in the skirt and continue right up the front of the insulator, over the dome, and back down to the other side. These early Hemingrays are getting harder and harder to find; don't pass this one by! (#2182)
