This is a very attractive color for this style. There is a streak of milk halfway around the rear of the insulator. 1/8" ding on the skirt, a couple of factory annealing stress lines in the skirt. A nice addition to your collection!

CD 133 ER / Brookfield / Cauvet's / 1865 Dated (200) Light Aqua. This early insulator was made for the Erie Railroad. It has Cauvet's 1865 patent date for internal threads on the reverse dome. Exceptionally clean insulator for its age. A small area of wear on the wire ridge tells me it has NOT been tumbled, or that would be gone. The embossing is on the weak side with the 1870 date on the rear skirt almost unnoticeable.

CD-133 - DEC. 19 Sold For: $1,815 Color: Dark Green

Here's one for the "1871" specialist! Over the years, it has always been assumed that if the insulator had a "2" on the rear crown it was a CD 132, and if it had a "3", it was a CD 133. There is one exception to the latter with the CD 133 [010] having no style number. Some people would say that if you held a ruler up to the crown of some CD 132s you could see just a little light under the ruler, making the dome concave, and thus a CD 133. This was not widely accepted in the hobby, which still maintained that all style number "2s" were CD 132. On this piece, the dome is clearly quite concave. However, this one has the style number "2" on the rear! CD 132? No, given the shape, this is clearly a CD 133, an early piece in the evolution of this style, and it garnered a new EIN listing [015] in the 2023 Price Guide. There are probably other examples out there like this. That aside, it's also a beautiful Dark Green color with a bit

CD-133 - NO EMBOSSING (CANADA) [005] Sold For: $35 Color: Light Aqua

An unembossed CD 133 found in some parts of Canada, scarcely found with this rounded base edge and mold line over base (MLOB) feature. Spiralling steamy swirls above the pinhole add some extra character. A few scattered fleabites on the upper wire ridge and crown, as well as some wear and one 1/4 flake on the upper wire ridge. The rough inner base edge has several tiny flakes along its edge, possibly from manufacture.

Moderate milk swirls and ribbons can be seen winding around the skirt, with some of them reaching up into the dome. 1/2" flake/bruise on the upper wire ridge, 1/4" stress line up from the base on the rear. Drip points look perfect! See lot 68 for a Lime Green CD 133 without milk. This is a nice, milky example of this style!

One can see some bubbles (planets) and milk swirls (Milky Way) in the thick dome glass! Fizz in the glass adds some extra character. The swirl-start at the base of the threads is normally fairly flat, but this one is tilted and goes up as high as the wire groove in front. Two 1/8" dings, otherwise very, very near mint. Nice bold embossing and a pronounced mold line are the icing on the cake!

Look at that dome! This is the Canadian variant, with the "tall narrow dome", plus it's also a leaner! The tall dome creates some extra space above the pinhole, where some fizzy glass can be seen. Three 1/4" base flakes, otherwise very near mint. A nice variant in your CD 133 collection!

[100] Very, very near mint. Shop number 11 for the CD 133 CREB collector. A classic early Brookfield style. Nice pronounced "swirl start" at the base of the threads. In addition to the base color, what sets this apart is the presence of some amber blending which creates lighter and darker areas. This is especially prominent in the front and in the dome. Extra character on top of a great color make this a standout piece!

1/2" base flake, factory annealing line over the dome, otherwise very, very near mint. Burgundy colored examples are found in the much more common CD 161 and CD 162 styles, but they are rarely encountered in the CD 133. The perfectly level glass below the pinhole creates a line just above the embossing making it easy to read, while the thick glass adds depth to the color in the skirt. The richness of this color makes it a stand out piece!

Great condition! Hints of Lavender make this color a little different than your typical early Brookfield insulator. Super color and condition, and a nice 1"x 1/4" bubble on the side. This piece has everything going for it!

A few flaked drips and two missing on the rear. Bold embossing. The milk is so intense and opaque as to create a solid jade effect, however the swirls and bands of milk are very well delineated everywhere in the piece! This creates a much more impressive effect than if the piece was a solid jade color. The piece looks stunning with front lighting, base lighting or back lighting! 55 FULTON ST. Very good condition. For completeness, a small stress line at the top of the pinhole. Compare the profile of this later piece with lot 27 and you'll find that this insulator is chunkier. Although the same height, it's nearly 1/4" larger in diameter and the skirt is thicker. There are so many aqua Brookfield 133s; it's refreshing to see a standout color like this! (#2671)

This is a product of the Baltimore Glass Manufacturing Company, which was formed in 1896 and is believed to have last manufactured insulators in 1903, ceasing production either due to a patent infringement order or simply the threat of one. CD-133 - BROOKFIELD Sold For: $1,100 Color: Aqua w/ HUGE Bubbles

Overall very good condition. What is outstanding about this insulator is, of course, the presence of four large bubbles, all in the same area of the glass! The largest is 3" wide and over an inch tall! Amazingly, none of the bubbles are open to the threads or to the outside. A great character piece! (#2611)

CD-133 - H.G.CO. Sold For: $6,050 Color: Glowing Orange Amber

Roughness on dome, perhaps a little wear from being a chair leg insulator; otherwise nearly perfect. NEW: We have done some comparison with another CD 133 HG SB and our best estimate is that the peak of the dome is worn down perhaps 1/16" inch. These do tend to have a fairly "flat topped" dome anyway. Use the picture as a good guide. Very little is actually worn off. An incredibly outstanding, awesome piece! (#2734)
