CD-133.2 - NO EMBOSSING (CANADA) [010]        Sold For: $40       Color: Blue Aqua
An early Canadian telegraph style with some great crudity. The upper wire ridge is deformed and slumped on one side, and a small amber tadpole adorns the clear blue glass at the top of the pinhole. A 1/2 flake on the outer base edge on one side and some scuffing on the base, likely from use as a door stop.

CD-133.2 - {Unembossed} {Canada}       Sold For: $330       Color: Blue w/ Impurities
There are outstanding areas of impurities with thick milk bands punctuated by amber ribbons! Additionally, an 1/8" wide milk band flows up and around the pinhole, expanding into a larger diffuse area of milk with some amber highlights. Several small skirt flakes, a factory annealing line from the wire ridge to the dome, three smaller ones below the wire groove. These don't detract from the presentation. Some heavy creases add interest to the piece. What a junker!

CD-133.2 - {Unembossed} {Canada}       Sold For: $176       Color: Milky Blue
A bit of a milky two tone! Most of the milk is concentrated in the middle of the insulator, and the skirt and the dome have very little milk. This creates a jade-like region in the middle of the insulator. 1/2" open bubble at the base of the skirt, thin 1/2" base bruise, otherwise very near mint. The clarity in the dome and the jade in the center create a very eye-catching delineation!

This thick, heavy insulator was likely produced in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. The insulator bears the initials of Louis A. Cauvet, as well as the date of his patent for internal screw-threads. About very near mint. For another "big brute" see lot 49.

CD-133.2 - L.A.C. / P & W       Sold For: $462       Color: Aqua w/ Amber ribbons
1/4" base flake, otherwise about very near mint. This thick, heavy insulator was likely produced in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. The insulator bears the initials of Louis A. Cauvet, as well as the date of his patent for internal screw-threads. A nice amber ribbon winds around skirt, up over the pinhole and back down on the rear. The extra dome glass allows you to clearly see the ribbon. The best display is with the front of the insulator facing straight at you! A great example!

CD-133.2 - {Unembossed P & W}       Sold For: $578       Color: Blue w/ Amber Swirls
1/4" x 1/2" slice below the wire groove, otherwise about very near mint. This is the unembossed "P & W" style as well as the larger pinhole variant. Amber swirls and bands flow around the skirt and up and over the pinhole, making this a very attractive and desirable addition to your early threaded lineup!

CD-133.2 - L.A.C / PATD JULY 25TH 1865 / P & W       Sold For: $3,300       Color: Blue Aqua w/ Massive Amber Streaks
Excellent condition! Very minor high point scuffing that is easily overlooked. We could tell you that this insulator has characteristics to indicate manufacture by the Beaver Falls Glass Company, founded in 1869 on the outskirts of Pittsburgh and that there has not been a definitive answer to the meaning of the "P & W," but are you going to bother to read that when you see an insulator like this? An absolutely amazing series of thick bands of amber flow up from the skirt to the pinhole. An enclosed bubble can be seen to the left of the heavy strands. When viewed from the front, you can still see an abundance of amber in the piece. The insulator itself is uncommon; its wonderful condition, combined with the quantity of heavy amber, make this a truly outstanding piece! Given the interest in character pieces like this, it is difficult to place an estimate on it, but it's certainly worth fighting for!

CD-133.2 - {Unembossed Canadian}       Sold For: $143       Color: Turquoise Blue w/ Milk Waterfall
Mold line over dome {MLOD}. Some factory annealing lines on the dome, wonderful condition! The base color is a beautiful, glowing turquoise blue. This piece is enhanced with a wide, milky band that flows down over the pinhole and creates an amazing spiral in the skirt that can easily be seen when backlit in your display case! (#3061)

CD-133.2 - P & W       Sold For: $121       Color: Deep Rich Turquoise Blue
A flat skirt chip as can be seen in the photo, a quarter-sized area where it appears a blemish may have been smoothed off. The insulator bears Louis A. Cauvet's initials and his patent date of July 25, 1865 for internal screw threads, alleviating the need for "cement and fastenings" to secure the insulator to the pin. This variant of CD 133.2 is quite a bit wider than others, and the insulator has characteristics to indicate manufacture by the Beaver Falls Glass Company, which was founded in 1869 on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. There has not been a definitive answer to the meaning of the "P & W", but it is definite that this turquoise blue insulator is a standout piece! (#2856)

About one third of the base has some moderate flaking, some minor pings and scuffs. May have been lightly polished. A very rare embossing for this CD, manufactured by the Beaver Falls Glass Company, which was founded in 1869 on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. Quite a rare embossing for this CD! (#0519)

CD-133.2 - {Unembossed Canadian}       Sold For: $187       Color: Milky Blue
A factory annealing fissure running down from the dome to the wire groove and the numerous "straw marks" show how crude this piece is! A beautiful blue color! A heavy band of milk runs from the pinhole to the skirt in the front, and there's some general milkiness in the dome and in the rear. A crude piece with great character! (#2853)
