CD-133.4 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $66 Color: Limey Green
Three thin 3/8" base flakes. Shop letter is a backwards "E". An old Hemingray piece in the classic "bullet" shape. An off-center pinhole adds to its character.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-133.4 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $121 Color: Aqua w/ Milky Swirls
Two 1/2" base flakes and two vertical stress lines up from the base to the front and rear of the right mold line. Some might consider this a CD 133 because of the slightly convex dome; however, we still consider it a CD 133.4. One can see pronounced milky swirls in the skirt, and the milk in the dome gives it more of a translucent appearance. Contrast this with lot 103, which appears to be the same mold. An early Hemingray "bullet style" filled with character!

CD-133.4 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $94 Color: Blue Aqua w/ Milk Globs
This insulator has some great milk impurities, with a heavy concentration of milk in the front and bands which loop over the top and around the wire ridge. The contrasting thick and thin areas of milk give it a unique look. Some might consider this a CD 133 because of the slightly convex dome; however, we still consider it a CD 133.4. Compare this with lot 102, which is probably from the same mold. It is possible that the dome has been reglued. Some rear wire ridge and base flaking and dings don't significantly detract from the overall appearance, especially since the milk is most visible in the front. What a character!

CD-133.4 - {Unembossed} Sold For: $220 Color: Deep Purple
A crude piece with a thin 1/4" base flake and a 1/2" skirt chip in the rear. This insulator has characteristics of the "Wormser" bullet, a product of the Wormser Glass Company of southwestern Pennsylvania, although a definite link to that glasshouse has not been confirmed. Wormser produced many colorful unembossed CD 133.4 bullets. (#0988)

CD-133.4 - {Unembossed} {MLOD} Sold For: $352 Color: Glowing Deep Apple Green
Excellent condition! The clarity of the glass and the low pinhole help intensify the color! The green unembossed CD 133.4 bullets are rarely seen for sale, and it has been said that you are more likely to see a purple example! This example is most likely not a "Wormser" bullet, as it is a two-piece mold. A truly unique shade of apple green that will be distinctly different on your shelf of bullets! (#0978)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-133.4 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $121 Color: Light Green
This insulator is the smaller of Hemingray's early threaded bullets, and they typically have crudely molded bases. This one is no exception. The fantastic condition overall makes it a great example of an early telegraph insulator! (#0222)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-133.4 - {Unembossed} Sold For: $374 Color: Purple
Flaking around the base of the skirt likely due to an overpour, a fingernail flake on the wire ridge. Has characteristics of the "Wormser" bullet, a product of the Wormser Glass Company of southwestern Pennsylvania. Wormser produced many colorful unembossed CD 133.4 bullets. This is a great color in your classic bullet shape! (#0520)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-133.4 - PATENT DEC. 19 Sold For: $198 Color: Light Green w/ Veils of Microbubbles

There are nice globs of milk, especially in the front skirt, and a strand starts in the rear skirt and makes its way up and over the pinhole! (#2879) |
