 | {Shoulder embossed} Very near mint. This insulator is one of the two "Diamond Groove" styles manufactured by the Chicago Insulating Company, the second one being CD 109. This style was patented October 16, 1883 by Fiske and Mott. See lot 66 for a base embossed variant. What a great pair of "Chicagos"! |

CD-135 - CHICAGO INSULATING CO. Sold For: $121 Color: Blue
 | {Shoulder embossed} A little scuffing on the dome, some pings and flakes here and there. This is the classic "Diamond Groove" insulator produced by the Chicago Insulating Company. The diamond-shaped wire groove was patented on October 16, 1883 by Fiske & Mott, it's goal being to decrease contact between the tie wire and the insulator. A unique design for sure! |
