Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-136.4 - {No name}       Sold For: $319       Color: Teal Aqua
Although one can look at this and consider it unembossed, upon close inspection there is a small number, perhaps an "8", above the wire ridge and a dot on the opposite side of the crown. Gunky! There are some bubble trails and amber around the insulator and snow everywhere! 3/4" chip on both wire ridges on the rear, 1/4" chip on the lower wire ridge in front, hard-to-see stress line around the pinhole near the top of the dome. If you collect embossing variations, you may have overlooked this "No name" embossing!

CD-136.4 - {Unembossed}       Sold For: $374       Color: Light Aqua
This is the segmented thread variant which is much harder to find than the standard threaded variant which is nicknamed "Canadian Boston". These were produced by Samual Oakman's patented process for forming the segmented threads. The wire ridges on these are prone to chipping, and this example is no exception. 2" area and two 1/2" areas of wire ridge chipping. An interesting old style with segmented threads!

CD-136.4 - {Unembossed}       Sold For: $418       Color: Rich Blue
This is the much less common variant of this CD, with four segmented threads. Nicknamed the "Canadian Boston" due to its similarity to the CD 136.5, which has the "Boston" embossing. 1" ridge chip (repaired), 1/2" ridge chip, 1" base flake. The rich, blue color and thick dome glass, where one can see an amber swirl, make this insulator stand out!

The base has been ground flat and has two small flakes as can be seen in view 3. A 3/8" wire ridge flake. A wide opaque milky ribbon with amber highlights can be seen winding around the skirt. A bubble above that in the dome adds a little extra character, making this truly an attractive insulator!

CD-136.4 - {No embossing}       Sold For: $198       Color: Bright Blue
About VNM. The thick skirt and extra dome glass really show off the glowing color of this insulator! (#3268)

CD-136.4 - {No embossing}       Sold For: $4,840       Color: Olive Green
A bruise on either side of the wire ridge and a little chipping at the start of a few of the segmented threads. This insulator has been very very lightly cleaned to remove a thin haze, and the color really shows well! What an outstanding color for this Canadian Boston insulator! (#3266)
