CD-142.4 - {Unembossed} Sold For: $550 Color: Carnival w/ Glass Insert
None of these are the typical bright Carnival that you often see. In fact, you can see some Ice Blue coloration in the dome. A metallic compound was sprayed onto the inside of the skirt to reduce leakage, and the insert was designed to keep moisture and dirt away from the pinhole. Some examples of this style are embossed "TS 3", however both variants were produced by Hemingray. The liner is normally cemented into the base of the insulator, however this one is not. The insert is much less common than the insulator due to its very fragile nature and adds significant value. The insulator is in excellent shape, however the insert has a fracture running down one side as can be seen in view 2. An uncommon and unusual Hemingray insulator style!

CD-142.4 - {Hemingray product} Carnival Sold For: $99 Color: "Carnival"
Just a small skirt flake, otherwise this piece is perfect! The splash guard "insert" is missing. A metallic compound was sprayed onto the inside of the skirt to reduce leakage, and the insert was designed to keep moisture and dirt away from the pinhole. This is often called "Carnival," but it is not the typical "marigold" Carnival. (#3307)

Light flaking on one section of upper wire ridge; Many of these are missing the glass insert, or the insert is damaged. This one is perfect and still cemented in place. These insulators are getting harder and harder to get! View 3 shows back-lighting; wow! (#3306)
