CD-145 - O.V.G.CO.       Sold For: $40       Color: Blue
Great condition except for a 1/8 fisheye on left mold line, bottom skirt

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $253       Color: Green w/ Amber Blending
This insulator has a rich Green color, accented with areas of amber. Small bubbles are also present, adding extra interest. 3/8" and 1/4" base flakes, otherwise very near mint. The insulator was produced by the New England Glass Manufacturing Company, which operated in the Boston area for a short period of time. The NEGM beehives are smaller in diameter and have straighter sides, giving them a different presentation than your typical beehive!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $5,500       Color: Yellow
{"K" Mold} We placed this Yellow beehive next to our Yellow CD 162 Hemingray and H.G.CO. signals (not for sale), and the color is identical! See view 2 (in the sun) and view 5 (in a light box). View 1 and View 2 were taken in the sun, and the others in a light box. In the sun, this color really pops. Fizz can be seen throughout the insulator, enhancing its appearance! 1/4" ding/flake on the dome. The sharp upper ridge on these units often has significant chipping, and this example has several small areas of flaking, otherwise the insulator is very near mint. A great addition for the beehive or color collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W.TEL.CO.       Sold For: $30       Color: Light Blue Aqua
Has some sharp overpour at base and inner skirt is skewed to the side. Probably pulled when still too hot. Other than a small annealing fracture, looks mint.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $33       Color: Fizzy Blue
This insulator has some attractive "fizz" in the glass. A couple of 1/8" dings on the front dome and 1/2" scratch on the rear skirt. Nice bold embossing on the front and the rear!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $308       Color: Windex Blue
This attractive bright blue is called "Windex Blue" by collectors of Crown-embossed Brookfields ("CREBS") and it was formally added to the Price Guide several editions ago. There is an unusual overpour, resulting in an extended ridge around the base with the typical expected flaking. There is a shop number "1" on the rear of the crown and the consignor labeled the insulator "SN 1 g. 1". This may be a "CREB" identification number. The embossing is quite faint. There is a hard-to-see annealing fissure running along the valley between the skirts on most of the rear. A pretty color, and hopefully a shop number that fits into your "CREB" collection. [UPDATE: View 3 shows the position of the fissure (it's longer than this, but this shows the area where it can be seen from this angle). You can see it when you look at it at the right angle under a bright light. View 4 shows where the light reflects off some of the fissure which

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $231       Color: Bright Yellow Green
There's nice bold embossing on the front and rear crown! Large and pronounced shop number "20" on the rear. Some milk wisps can be seen in the front and rear skirts. The consignor labeled the insulator "SN 20 [bc]". This may be a "CREB" identification number. 1/4" and 1" areas of underpour on the skirt, flaking on the 1" area, otherwise very near mint. Hopefully this pretty insulator has a shop number that fits into your "CREB" collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $275       Color: Blue Gray
Quite an unusual color for a "CREB" (Crown-embossed Brookfield) insulator! It has a bit of a purple tint. 1/8" by 3/4" base flake. It has a crude surface with chunks of glass pressed into the glass. During annealing there was an inclusion in the glass. This caused a flake on the dome which is about 1 1/2" by 1" by 1/8" at the left mold line, mostly visible from the rear. A few dings here and there. This insulator will contrast well with your other purple and green shades!

CD 145 H.G. CO. (120) Bubble Madness. Like bubbles? You'll go mad over this one! My goodness, there are dozens of decent sized & overlapping bubbles in the dome of this insulator. Has some issues primarily due to an impact to the dome that left a shallow slice and a two-inch long fracture over the dome. Another fracture can be found at the top of PETTICOAT. Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - {Unembossed} {Pennycuick style}       Sold For: $121       Color: Fizzy Blue Aqua
The entire insulator is filled with fizz, giving it a distinctive, translucent appearance! 1/2" open bubble on the rear wire ridge, some pings and dings that are difficult to see given the crudity and fizz in the piece. A classic junky Pennycuick!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $110       Color: Purple
The transparent glass shows off the Purple coloration well, and the insulator has a pleasing parabolic shape! 1/8" fish eye, otherwise easily very near mint. Produced by the Western Glass Manufacturing Company just outside of Denver, Colorado. Purple is popular!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - POSTAL       Sold For: $253       Color: Purple
Perhaps you might call this "Burgundy Purple." The transparent glass highlights the rich color. Very near mint. This beehive has a nice pleasing shape with its tapered sides and rounded dome!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $825       Color: Pea Soup Green
There is nice clarity in the glass so you can see the rich color! One of the more interesting shades of green in which the H.G.CO. beehives are found. 1/2" base flake, 1/8" inner skirt flake, a little crazing on the dome. Minor 1/2" lightning flashover on the rear. An unusual color that will fit in well with the other greens in your H.G.CO. lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $154       Color: Blue Aqua w/ Vertical Straw Lines
Incredible "ski track" creases run up the skirt and loop around the dome to the front wire groove. They are especially prominent in the rear. An interesting grouping of 4 bubbles of increasing diameter float up from the base. A plus if you are also a beehive collector! This should be of special interest to those who collect the odd and the unusual, especially in this great condition!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $55       Color: Bright Blue w/ Fizz and Bubbles
Crudely made with some heavy folds on the dome, not typical for the H.G.CO. beehives. 1/8" scuff/ding on the dome, 1/8" wire ridge flake on the front, otherwise about very near mint. An eye-catching insulator that is less transparent than a typical beehive!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $50       Color: Sage Green Tint
Although older "clear" glass can have a bit of a gray tint, this has a little more color that you can see as Sage Green. It's common for these to have a letter in various places around the embossing, but this one is more unique in that it has a backwards serifed "N" above the embossing on the front. 1" area of roughness and small flaking at the right wire groove, 1/4" ding on the rear crown, otherwise very near mint. Being nearly colorless it stands out among your darker examples!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $39       Color: Light Aqua w/ "Black" Threads
What catches your eye is an amber thread that starts in the front of the insulator, zigzags down to the base, up and over and inside the inner skirt as it thickens, back out to the inside of the outer skirt, then looping over the base to the front of the outer skirt up to and above the wire groove. In addition there is some snow in the insulator to add extra interest! 1/4" flake below the rear wire groove, otherwise very near mint. The unusual wiggle of amber spans the front of the insulator and a little extra on the sides!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $39       Color: Bright Blue
Produced with the patented Oakman threading process; the threads are so low that the area above the wire groove looks like a threadless insulator! The strong base embossing includes 3 patent dates. An attractive American beehive, especially in this wonderful condition.

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $462       Color: 2!

The amber swirls hug the sides and top of the pinhole, so the skirt and outer edges of the crown appear a greenish aqua colour, while the very dome top and parts of the glass around the pinhole are more of a vivid yellow green. To add extra character, a large bubble in the front measures over 4.5 cm long, and a wispy milk swirl can be found just above it in the front crown. Good condition with just a small inner skirt flake and a few even smaller BB pings on the front crown.

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - W.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $132       Color: Deep Purple
The rich color of this Western Glass Manufacturing Company product easily passes light, and these purple beehives are always popular. 1/4" base flake, 1/8" fisheye, otherwise easily very near mint. This attractive and affordable Purple beehive will stand out on your shelf!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $94       Color: Purple
A pretty shade of Purple with an amber streak on the right side! Produced by the Western Glass Manufacturing Company just outside of Denver, Colorado. Some heavy creases can be seen in the skirt and the crown. 1/8" divot on the front, 1/8" ding on the rear wire ridge, otherwise easily very near mint. The W.G.M. beehives are found in various shades of purple, and this is one of the medium shades. Add this example to your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - STAR       Sold For: $50       Color: Blue w/ Cotton Ball
A giant 1" cotton ball can be seen in the skirt and flows into the inner skirt! There is a horseshoe-shaped ribbon of impurities in the dome with an 1/8" ding at one end. Quite an unusual sight! The insulator with this cotton ball will be of particular interest to the beehive or Star collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $94       Color: Light Blue w/ Seed Bubbles
Unusual seed bubbles can be seen throughout the insulator, and there are some nice swirly folds that enhance the texture and presence. 1/2" and 3/4" base flakes, otherwise easily very near mint. Nice strong embossing and great character for this "PETTICOAT" beehive!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $154       Color: Bright Green
This well-saturated color will jump out on your shelf! There are a variety of shades of Green H.G.CO. beehives, but this example needs no other word to describe the shade! A stunning insulator, especially in this amazing condition!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $50       Color: Rich Blue w/ Bubbles
This is a distinctive, well-saturated shade of Blue. The 3/4" bubble in the front looks like a "Cyclops" eye, and the pair of 1/2" and 1/4" bubbles in the rear look like a cell in the process of dividing! 1/4" and 1/8" scratch, otherwise about very near mint. The bubbles jump out and make this more desirable than your typical Blue beehive!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $143       Color: Light Lavender
This is a beautiful pastel shade. The transparent glass on either side of the pinhole and over the dome allows you to see the rich coloration. 1/4" scratch, otherwise easily very near mint. There is a crease running over the dome that can be seen in the front. This pretty color will fit in well with the other Petticoats in your lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $72       Color: Fizzy Light Blue Aqua
This insulator is filled with fizz and some elongated bubbles that appear to be white and that are around 1/4" long. These are prominent on all sides of the insulator, giving it a more unique appearance. A little crazing on the dome, otherwise very, very near mint. The elongated bubbles make it more interesting than your typical fizzy beehive!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $798       Color: Pea Soup Green
The transparent glass highlights the depth of color! Many years ago, Lee Brewer found several of these and coined the term "Pea Soup Green" to describe the color. 3/8" bruise/flake and two 1/8" dings on the rear crown, otherwise easily very near mint. These examples are much less often encountered than the Amber beehives, contributing to their reputation as one of the most desirable colors to obtain for your H.G.CO. beehive lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $528       Color: Blue w/ Seed Bubbles
Look at those bubbles! A couple of large bubbles can be seen in the front surrounded by seed bubbles, giving a jade-like opaqueness to the glass. You may find some insulators with "fizz" in them, but this goes far beyond that, where you can easily see the distinct bubbles. Insulators with fizz typically look translucent when back lit. Here you can see hundreds of bubbles throughout the insulator, creating an unusual appearance. Three 3/8" stress lines [UPDATE: these should probably be called fractures rather than stress lines as they go all the way through the skirt] up from the base, otherwise very, very near mint. A great addition to your H.G.CO. lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $50       Color: Blue w/ Flecks
It's harder to see the thin flecks when backlit, but they sparkle when base lit! Some form thin strands like cotton candy, some others cluster together, and others are sprinkled throughout the insulator. It is interesting that the embossing is very weak with the exception of a strongly-embossed "B" below "PETTICOAT" on the rear. Unusual character, especially in this wonderful condition.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $55       Color: Powder Blue
Crudely formed, which is uncommon for an H.G.CO. beehive! Crinkles of glass and creases can be seen, especially in the upper right of the dome. You can also see a number of larger bubbles and a 1/4" piece of "snow" (firebrick) right in the front! These are best seen in the large views. A neat character piece, especially in this fine condition!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,018       Color: Yellow Amber
Amber H.G. beehives are found in a range from Yellow to Dark Orange Amber. This is Yellow Amber, which is on the very light end of the spectrum, just a tint or two darker than the very rare and desirable Yellow. Two 3/4" areas of heavy flaking on the damage-prone sharp upper wire ridge, one on the front and one at the right mold line, 1/4" flake on the rear upper wire ridge, two 3/8" flakes on the skirt. This sounds worse than it is, as it displays great in your light box and will be a desirable lighter shade of amber in your beehive lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $28       Color: Aqua w/ Silver Streaks
A pair of unusual silver "streaks" starts at the left upper wire ridge and flows diagonally across the middle of the insulator into the rear, where they take a sharp, upward turn back to the wire groove. This is quite an unusual impurity which doesn't appear to be "milk" or a trail of bubbles! 1/4" skirt flake at the right mold line, 3/4" area of small flaking on the front. A great presence with the streaks in front, and an unusual oddity for the beehive collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - CALIFORNIA       Sold For: $688       Color: Burgundy/Sage Green Two Tone
While most of the crown is Burgundy, one can see an area of Sage Green above the pinhole. 1/4" lehr kiss on the dome, two 1/8" flakes on the wire ridge, otherwise easily very near mint. An attractive coloration!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $66       Color: Dark Olive Green w/ Amber Swirls
Amber swirls can be seen throughout the insulator, especially in the skirt where the glass is thinner. View 3 shows more of the amber when looking up the pinhole. 3/8" inner skirt chip, 1/2" base flake, otherwise easily very near mint. These colorful beehives are quite popular, and this is a very good example!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $121       Color: Light Blue w/ Big Bubble
A huge bubble in the skirt, 2 1/2" wide and 3/4" tall, is completely enclosed! It's amazing that this didn't open up to the outside or the inside! The clarity of the glass adds even more to the presentation! 1/4" wire ridge flake, 1/8" ding/flake on the crown, otherwise about very near mint. The insulator is simply embossed "B", perhaps for Big Bubble? The odd area to the right in view 2 is just a sideways view of the bubble. An unusual bubble configuration for the junk-in-glass collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $198       Color: Yellowy Olive Green
This is an interesting tweener color between Yellow Green and Olive Green! Two large bubbles can be seen, one above and one below the wire groove. 1/8" flake/ding on the crown, 1/2" skirt/base flake, otherwise about very near mint. A desirable and hard-to-find color, with the bubbles giving it some extra pizzazz!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $132       Color: Light Blue Aqua
The "crown-embossed Brookfield" (CREB) specialists call this the "bullet top, narrow dome" variation, which they say is quite uncommon and highly valued. The slope of the crown continues at the same angle as the slope of the skirt, resulting in the narrower crown and more pointed dome. The wire groove is also wider than is typical. [UPDATE: We can't find a match for this embossing. It is (F-Crown) (Arc)W.BROOKFIELD/NEW YORK. (R-Crown) (Arc)PAT.NOV. 13 1883/FEB.12 1884. {MLOD} Similar to [137] but there is not a period after NEW YORK (may not be considered significant) and not a quote before the patent date on the second line on the rear. If you know this EIN please contact us!] Thanks. 1/8" base flake, 1/4" scuff at the bottom of the skirt, otherwise easily very near mint. "CREB" collectors, take special note of this piece; they are very uncommon!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $484       Color: Purple
Brookfield "beehives" are found in several shades of Purple, and this is a nice medium-toned example. [UPDATE: We think this is the EIN for this embossing of (F-Crown) (Arc)W.BROOKFIELD/45 CLIFF ST./N.Y. (R-Crown) {There is a large 1/2" bar that intersects the thick mold line} {Perhaps two lines of embossing which are impossible for us to read} If you know what this is, please contact us. Thanks!] 1/4" open bubble on the base, a little ding on the crown, otherwise easily very near mint. An attractive and desirable color for the Brookfield collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $187       Color: Windex Blue
"CREB" (Crown-embossed Brookfield) collectors call this "Windex Blue", but one could also call it "Bright Blue". 1/4" and 1/8" flakes on the wire ridge, 1/4" flake and 3/8" open bubble on the inner skirt. Rough 1/4" "kiss" mark on the rear skirt. Sounds worse than it is! A bright, colorful piece for your "CREB" collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $83       Color: Green Aqua w/ Impurities
The color of this insulator leans towards Green, but we'll call it Green Aqua. What's important is the 3/4" wide band of impurities that gets narrower as it runs down to the skirt and halfway up on the side. The base is crude and is buckled up nearly 1/8" in one area, but the embossing is unharmed and can be read clearly on the insulator. Easily very near mint. A nice character piece for your American lineup!

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $2,255       Color: Aqua w/ Amber Spiral
A thick 1/4" band of amber starts on the right hand side of the crown and spirals up to the dome, making nearly two loops around the insulator! This great display contrasts well with the base color of the insulator. Some bubbles enhance the character even more. Produced by the New England Glass Manufacturing Company, which operated in the Boston area for a short period of time. Easily very near mint. Distinctive and eye-catching!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - HARLOE (HAWLEY)       Sold For: $99       Color: Blue Aqua w/ White Glob
The huge swath of impurity, up to 1" wide, runs from the base to the wire groove! The heaviest concentration at the lower wire ridge looks like the sparkling snow found in some of the Electric Blue CD 257 Mickey Mouse insulators. There are also traces of the impurity in the skirt and the dome. 1" bruise and 3/8" ding/flake at the rear of the right mold line. An overpour creates a little flaking of the base flange, otherwise, the piece is easily very near mint. The size and density of the fantastic impurity make this insulator especially desirable!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $286       Color: Bright "J" Green
These shop letter "J" beehives are known for their bright, saturated color which some may call "Candy Apple Green". The transparent glass around the pinhole amplifies the color even more! Paper-thin 1/4" x 1/2" flake on the upper wire ridge in the front, otherwise easily very near mint. This desirable color will stand out among other beehives in your lineup, such as the Amber example in lot 90!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,045       Color: Fizzy Honey Yellow Amber
These popular beehives are found in a variety of amber shades. This is one of the lighter and more distinctive colors. Extra fizz adds accent to the glass. The sharp wire ridge is prone to damage, and this has a little nibbling as well as a thin 1/4" x 3/4" flake on the front, otherwise easily very near mint. [UPDATE: view 3 shows this front lit in sunlight and view 4 shows it angled to try and make the flake visible. Best seen in the large view.] An attractive and desirable color that should fit into your H.G.CO. beehive lineup.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $633       Color: Glowing Depression Glass Green
The transparent glass on either side of the pinhole intensifies the color! There is an odd swirled bubble both in the front and the rear threads. 3/4" inner skirt chip, 1/4" area of scuffing on the dome. The wire ridges are perfect. An outstanding color that will enhance your H.G.CO. beehive collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $132       Color: Ice Green w/ Seed Bubbles
Seed bubbles are present throughout the glass, giving this insulator a lot of visual presence. Add this eye-catching "Petticoat" beehive in nice condition to your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $798       Color: Bright Yellow Green
Nice clarity in the glass, and crisp, bold, well-formed embossing! Three 1/8" base flakes, otherwise very near mint. The wire ridges are perfect! Contrasts well with the other green beehives in your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $88       Color: Light Blue
Most H.G.CO. beehives are well-molded, but this example is quite crude with lots of creases, orange peel texture and some bubbles. A larger bubble, over 3/4" long, can be seen in the dome. Wonderful condition! This insulator is quite attractive because of its crude appearance!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $187       Color: Aqua w/ Vertical Straw Lines
Incredible "ski track" creases run from the skirt to the dome and are especially prominent in the front! We have never seen anything close to this, especially where the creases are all vertical. 1/4" base flake and skirt flake are easily overlooked. This should be of special interest to those who collect the odd and the unusual! A plus if you are also a beehive collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $72       Color: Icy Yellow Green
A bit of texture on the surface and the thick glass on the sides of the pinhole give this insulator a unique appearance. 3/8" dome flake, 1/2" fissure at the base of the skirt, otherwise easily very near mint. A little different color than is typically encountered!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $94       Color: Blue w/ Leaning Pinhole
This pinhole is so off-center that there is hardly any dome glass on one side and nearly an inch of dome glass on the other side! The insulator also leans to one side, enhancing the appearance of the off-center pinhole. The valley between the outer skirt and inner skirt goes from non-existent (nearly level) to over 1/2". 1/4" wire ridge flake, otherwise easily very near mint. Pair this with lot 9 for an interesting duo of beehives with molding quirks. An eye-catching display and a neat conversation piece!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $231       Color: Teal Aqua w/ Shifted Dome
Not only is the pinhole extremely off-center, but the dome is shifted 1/8" to the right! Although crudely formed, the glass is still shiny. Nice creases and folds all around. Very near mint. Pair this with lot 86 for an interesting duo of beehives with molding quirks. A desirable molding oddball!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $50       Color: Light Aqua
This is the uncommon variant with "ER" boldly embossed in large letters on the skirt! The rest of the embossing can be read easily. Shop number 22 on the rear crown for the specialist. 1/4" scratch on the rear, 1/4" inner skirt flake, small flake affects most of the "T" in "PATD"; not really bad overall. This should be of special interest to Brookfield collectors!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $1,018       Color: Gray Purple
This color is different from the other Brookfield purple shades that are found. The intensity of the color can be seen in the clear glass on either side of the pinhole. Very near mint. A contrasting color that will fit into your lineup of colorful Brookfield beehives!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $77       Color: Dark Apple Green
Bold embossing! Shop number 20 for the specialty collector. Easily very near mint. A colorful addition to your "CREB" collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - [Bar] // [Bar]       Sold For: $50       Color: Fizzy Aqua EIN: [010]
Super fizzy! See how this comes alive when bottom lit! Even when back-lit you can see the "fizz and snow" that give the piece a translucent appearance. The embossing "[040] (Dome) H (F-Skirt) [Vertical bar] (R-Skirt) [Vertical bar]" is recognized as being produced by Hemingray. Rarely do you see a piece like this with so much fizz combined with snow! 1/4" x 1/2" and a 1/4" skirt flake, otherwise easily very near mint. An odd and uncommon piece!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - STAR       Sold For: $154       Color: Green w/ Black Threads EIN: [010]
Well-pronounced black threads squiggling all around the insulator immediately catch your eye! We started to measure their length but realized it was a nearly impossible task. One of the lines at the base forms the outline of a duck! Some roughness in the wire groove, otherwise about very near mint. An unusual piece of "artwork" that is pretty ducky and surely one-of-a-kind!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $578       Color: Blue w/ Seed Bubbles EIN: [130]
Wow, look at the bubbles! You may find some insulators with "fizz" in them, but this goes far beyond that, where you can easily see the distinct bubbles. Insulators with fizz typically look translucent when back lit. Here you can see hundreds of bubbles orbiting the pinhole, creating a very different illusion. Rarely do you see bubbles this big. A unique piece, and especially desirable in this wonderful condition!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $2,365       Color: Orange Honey Amber EIN: [130]
What a stunning color! These amber units are getting quite popular and one can see why! No damage on the wire ridges. This is a desirable insulator, especially in this excellent condition. See lot 62 for a Honey Amber coloration that is more on the yellow side. This cross between Orange Amber and Honey Amber will stand out in your beehive lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $660       Color: Depression Glass Green EIN: [050]
What a glower! The clarity of the glass in the dome really accentuates this hard-to-find color. There are 2 impurities around the wire ridge in front, one of which caused a 1/4" potstone bruise. Several base flakes, ranging in size from 1/4" to 3/4". The wire ridges are perfect! Team this up with the amber beehives in lot 62 and lot 65. Add this uncommon color to your CD 145 collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,430       Color: Honey Amber EIN: [130]
The amber H.G.CO. beehives are quite popular and are found in a range of shades of amber. This one is towards the medium-light end and is filled with nice fizzy bubbles. Compare it with lot 65, which has a brighter Orange Amber coloration. An area of scuffing at the right mold line, 1/2" and 1/4" base flake, otherwise about very near mint. A colorful and desirable insulator!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $396       Color: "Pea Soup Green" EIN: [100]
Collectors have nicknamed this "Pea Soup Green" due to its unusual color. The glass in the dome is very clear, amplifying the color. A hard-to-see fracture runs around the top of the inner skirt from left center to right rear, 1/8" ding on the dome at the mold line. There's a bit of snow in the center of the dome, right in front. A couple of open bubbles and 1/4" flake on the base. Displays great!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $94       Color: Blue w/ Milk Swirls EIN: [130]
A concentration of milk frames the embossing in the front, and a ribbon winds around to the rear and goes up to the top of the pinhole. Some haze on the inner skirt and a patch on the front skirt; some dings and pings here and there typical of a piece that may have been dug. Nice clarity and depth of color in the dome make this a nice addition to your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $61       Color: Apple Green EIN: [215]
The embossing on this insulator is clearly readable, which can be difficult to find on crown-embossed Brookfield ("CREB") pieces. For the "CREB" specialist this is variant 14b. A colorful addition to your Brookfield beehive collection, especially in this very, very near mint condition.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $528       Color: Purple EIN: [085]
Everybody loves a Purple beehive, especially a crown-embossed Brookfield ("CREB")! Overprinted shop number on the rear crown. Easily very near mint, with the typical weak embossing. This makes a fabulous addition to a "CREB" lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $121       Color: Green EIN: [020]
The top of the pinhole has the typical "threadless" look characteristic of many Americans. These come in many shades of green, and we called this simply "Green". About very near mint.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $440       Color: Light Yellow Olive Green/Apple Green Two Tone EIN: [020]
A two tone where the presence of amber above the wire groove gives it more of a yellow green appearance with a hint of olive, contrasting with the Apple Green coloration below the wire groove. If one looks closely, you can see the amber stays close to the threads, leaving the outer areas more of an Apple Green color. 1/4" scuff on the upper and lower wire ridge, otherwise very near mint. A distinctive coloration not usually encountered!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $3,630       Color: Mustard Yellow Green EIN: [020]
A stunning color! There are hints of Olive Green seen in the Mustard Yellow, but it's significantly different from Yellow Olive Green examples. About very near mint with a few little scuffs here and there. This item is a "must-have" for any collector of rare or colored New England glass!

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - {Unembossed Pennycuick}       Sold For: $578       Color: Rich Aqua w/ Seed Bubbles EIN: [030]
At first, this insulator looks like it is filled with chunks of "snow", but upon closer examination they are really opaque bubbles! The low pinhole allows you to see them all around the skirt, crown and dome areas. 1" stress line in the dome, otherwise easily very near mint. You've seen snow, you've seen clear bubbles, but have you seen opaque bubbles?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $798       Color: Green Aqua w/ Dancing Amber Swirls EIN: [010]
What a dramatic display of amber swirls! A strong band sweeps down from the dome to the wire groove, right in front! Great swirls can be seen from every side of the insulator. 1" bruise towards the right mold line and a thin 1/2" flake on the left side, otherwise about very near mint. In addition to the amber, there are heavy creases and folds in the glass, especially visible from the front. Quite an eye-catching piece!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - HAWLEY       Sold For: $94       Color: Blue w/ Milk Swirls EIN: [040]
A great streak of milk and a "harelip" underpour on the front! A nice 1/2" ribbon of milk starts from the skirt and goes up to the pinhole, and a couple of other ribbons meander around the skirt. 1/4" skirt flake, otherwise very near mint. An unusual piece that should see interest with the Hawley collectors!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $154       Color: Teal Blue EIN: [130]
This insulator has nice clear glass, as you can see around the pinhole in the dome. 1/4" hole at the left mold line, 1/8" base flake and 1/8" base fracture, otherwise about very near mint. A rich Teal Blue color that will stand out in your lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $253       Color: Rich Green w/ Milk Swirls EIN: [100]
Not only does this insulator have a deep Green color, it also has a nice milk ribbon right in the front that goes from the skirt up and over the pinhole and back down the other side! Unusual and desirable, especially in this wonderful condition!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $187       Color: Ice Lemon w/ Snow and Fizz EIN: [050]
Nice chunks of snow and fizz float all around and can easily be seen when backlit. This piece will contrast well with your medium and darker beehives. Clean and shiny glass, and in great condition to boot!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $209       Color: Light Blue Aqua w/ Extended Skirt EIN: [100]
Heavy brute with a third skirt that was formed from the excess glass when molded! The overpour is very lopsided and when the insulator is sitting flat, it is very tilted to the left. Excellent condition overall, and even the thin "extended skirt" has only two areas of flaking. One can also see some really twisty double-crease lines going up the front. A one-in-a-million piece?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $61       Color: Blue w/ Milk Swirls EIN: [045]
A spiraling milk swirl and some crease lines dance around the dome in the front and rear of the insulator. 1/2" feather bruise at the top of the pinhole, otherwise easily very near mint. For the specialist, {Note no periods} with a "B" on the dome and another below "PETTICOAT". Clean and shiny glass makes this ready to display!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $908       Color: Honey Amber EIN: [140]
A nice, fizzy color! Shop number "K" above the "H.G.CO." 1/2" chip/bruise on the rear wire ridge creates a fracture at the left mold line and a deep fracture that runs from there up and over the dome to halfway down the front of the crown. Otherwise, the sharp wire ridge is in great shape and the insulator grades around very near mint. An opportunity to get a desirable color that displays well at an affordable price!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $187       Color: "J" Green EIN: [130]
A bright well-saturated green, nicknamed "J" Green for the shop letter on the front skirt. Some also call it Candy Apple Green, as it has significant yellow tones in it. 2" base bruise in the rear, 1/2" skirt flake, flaking near an area of heavy wire groove rub. Once in your lightbox, your eye will be drawn to the eye-catching color and it will contrast well with your amber beehives such as can be seen in lot 74.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $418       Color: Blue Aqua Leaner EIN: [070]
Look how much this insulator leans! Crooked and crude! Based on the soot, it was most likely put into service that way. As they say, "if it screws on the pin, use it!" A couple of bruises at the left and right mold lines as well as below the wire ridge and on the base add to its overall crude appearance. We have seen interest in these molding oddities has increased significantly. A great oddball for sure!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $462       Color: Chartreuse w/ Amber Blending EIN: [210]
What a stunning color; rich and well-saturated! In addition, one can see variegated amber patches, giving a bit of a chameleon look. Bold embossing; shop number looks like a serifed "I" and a "D". Ask for more details. 1" inner skirt chip at the right mold line, 1/2" wire rub flake on the wire ridge. A nice complement to your purple "CREB"!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $1,595       Color: "Blue Purple"
There is more blue in this piece and more clarity in the glass than typically encountered. Brookfield specialists will note that this is an unlisted example with a large irregular blot out on the rear crown that likely blots out two or three lines of embossing. Shop number 2 on the rear crown. A couple of 1/2" flakes on the inner skirt, 1/4" crown ding/flake, otherwise about very near mint. The clear glass also allows you to see more bubbles floating around, especially in the dome. A great addition to your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $66       Color: Lime Green w/ Amber Blending EIN: [230]
Double shop number "16" and "backwards 16" on the crown. Nice patches of amber can be seen throughout, giving the insulator an interesting mottled look. 1/4" inner skirt chip, couple of 1/8" wire ridge flakes, otherwise very near mint. An interesting and colorful addition to your "CREB" shop number set.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $121       Color: Lime Green EIN: [030]
This classic American beehive is boldly embossed with three patent dates on the base. Likely dug, with a few dings here and there and some light surface haze. This would really sparkle with a light tumble polishing!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $176       Color: Apple Green EIN: [020]
American insulators typically have low threads at the top of the pinhole and this is a good example. Boldly embossed on the base with three patent dates. One can see some milk swirls meandering in the glass. A nice piece in very near mint condition.

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - {Unembossed}       Sold For: $121       Color: Blue w/ Milk Swirls
Extra tall and crudely molded. Overpour flange with typical flaking at the base. Heavy creases, milk veils up and around the pinhole, some smaller bubbles and snow can all be seen in the glass. Its large stature will tower over other beehives!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - {Unembossed} {Grand Canyon style}       Sold For: $72       Color: Gray Blue w/ Milk
Nice milky veils throughout the insulator! A couple of 1/4" inner skirt chips, otherwise very near mint. An interesting example where the inner skirt is so short it almost disappears!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - T.C.R.       Sold For: $286       Color: Light Lavender
Here's one for the railroad fans! May have been produced for the Trans-Continental Railway. TCR appears to be another name for the National Transcontinental Railway, or NTR, which was completed in 1913. Very, very near mint. This desirable example is a very difficult Canadian railway insulator to acquire!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $242       Color: Icy Lavender Two-Tone
You can see a two-tone effect where the dome has a more pronounced color, while the color shifts more towards clear below the wire ridge. 3/4" area of flaking on the upper wire ridge in the rear, otherwise easily very near mint. Shop letter "E" on the rear for the specialty collector.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $462       Color: Purple
This is the less common "Narrow skirt variant". 3" fracture on the rear skirt, otherwise about very near mint. [UPDATE: the inner skirt has some soot on it, view 3 shows it with most of the haze removed] Nice rich purple color. See lot 76 for a "regular" skirt example. A variant the specialist definitely needs!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,760       Color: Yellow Orange Amber
The wire ridges are perfect! 1/2" stress line up from the base on the rear, otherwise really nice condition. In the range of amber beehives, this is towards the yellow end and would be a nice "tweener" color in your amber lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,073       Color: Light Lavender w/ Snow
Start with an uncommon color, add in thousands of microbubbles and snowflakes, and you have an extremely rare animal with a translucent appearance. 1/4" bruise/chip on the rear wire ridge; other than that, it's in fantastic condition. A very desirable and key piece for the beehive collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $253       Color: Light Purple
Nice transparency in the dome! A couple of 1/4" flakes up from the wire ridge and some chatter on the wire ridge, otherwise about very near mint. Contrast this more-often-seen style with the "Narrow skirt variant" in lot 77. Bold embossing and attractive color make this a winner!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $220       Color: Ice Yellow Green w/ Extended Inner Skirt
Most H.G.CO. beehives are very well formed, but this one has an unusual inner skirt which is extended below the base. The insulator sits raised up and tilted. View 3 shows the extended skirt and view 4 shows it in sunlight. Great clarity in the glass magnifies the color and the little chunks of snow. Some flaking on the skirt from an overpour, otherwise easily very near mint. An unusual molding oddity!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $55       Color: Blue w/ Milk Veils
Heavy milk veils in the front go up and over the pinhole and turn into a thick ribbon going down to the skirt. Stress line at the top of the pinhole, a couple of 1/4" fisheyes on the dome and a 1/4" flake on the wire ridge. Not often encountered with this distribution of milk!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $94       Color: Blue w/ Milk Streaks
Fine condition. Ribbons of milk are especially prominent in the dome, winding up and down over the pinhole. A beehive with character!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $688       Color: "J" Green
Bright Green color! A number of collectors refer to this as "J" Green because of the shop number "J" below the "H.G.CO." Others may call it Candy Apple Green. 2 1/2" base chip on the rear. This color will really pop when you put it on your shelf!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W.TEL.CO.       Sold For: $110       Color: Purple
Often found in Royal Purple, this is a nice medium color that transmits light easily. 1/2" open bubble on the skirt, otherwise clean and shiny! Less common than the Royal Purple examples, making it a keeper!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - CALIFORNIA       Sold For: $7,150       Color: Purple/Sage Green Two-Tone
A stunning two-tone example; one of the best known! Big and bold embossing. Great separation of the colors as can be seen in the photo, and the glass has very attractive clarity. One can see pronounced swirling, especially in the thicker area around the pinhole and in the dome. A factory "lehr kiss" on the rear with a 1/2" spot above the wire groove and a 1" area below the wire groove; a couple of smaller areas on the front. Team this with the CD 152 in lot 8 for an exemplary duo. Wonderful condition and a must-have for the advanced California collector. Don't pass it by; when will you see another?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $374       Color: Dark "Tiger-Striped" Amber
This is dark! Twisted "tiger-stripes" can be seen around the skirt. The color really shows when viewed through the pinhole. 1" inner skirt chip, 1/4" ridge chip, but who is looking at the condition? A stunning dark example of this style and a keeper!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $352       Color: Green
This insulator has some yellow influences but is not quite Yellow Green. 1/4" inner skirt chip, otherwise about very near mint. Shop number "18" for the specialist. An attractive coloration for anyone!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $462       Color: Chartreuse
Great clarity in the glass in this heavier and thicker than normally encountered beehive! 1/2" chip and 1/4" flake, both on the inner skirt, otherwise very near mint. Look for its CD 133 color counterpart in lot 55. An unusual coloration for this newer Brookfield production insulator!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $825       Color: "Chartreuse"
The color of this insulator is close to Chartreuse but with some olive tones. 1/2" skirt bruise, 1/2" base fracture, 1/2" base flake removes "3, 188". A classic American example with the threadless top before the threads start. Contrasts well with the darker insulator in lot 89. A catchy, standout color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $935       Color: Olive Green
The American beehives are found in many shades of green, and this is one of the attractive darker shades. 1/2" skirt chip which doesn't affect any embossing, otherwise easily very near mint. Contrasts well with the lighter example in lot 86. Get the pair!

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - {Unembossed}       Sold For: $187       Color: Steel Blue w/ Purple Wisps
Grand Canyon style. Although faint, one can see some purple wisps over the dome. The inner skirt is so high that it barely extends down below the bottom of the pinhole. A classic and in very, very near mint condition! UPDATE: 9/8 The purple wisps are very, very faint, but can be seen in this enhanced base lit photo taken underwater as shown in view 3. We have found three pinhead flakes on the bottom of the inner skirt and thus the condition was downgraded to about very near mint and the estimate lowered.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $77       Color: Light Purple
Another for the "Denver" collector. A few dings here and there, a couple of 1/8" base flakes. A popular insulator produced by the Western Glass Manufacturing Company.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $55       Color: Fizzy Snowy Light Aqua
Is it snow or fizz or both? You decide! We think it has some of both. 1 1/2" stress line up from the base. Shop number "18" for the specialist. It's unusual for a Brookfield insulator to contain this amount of fizz and snow. If you want a great CREB, "this CREB's for you!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $440       Color: Deep Olive Green w/ Bubbles
What a color! This piece is a bit unusual with some medium sized bubbles everywhere, and even a graphite swirl right in front. 1" fracture below the wire groove, 1/4" open bubble, 1/2" base flake. One of the less common colors and a nice addition to your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $3,520       Color: Honey Yellow Amber
This example is towards the light end of the amber colors encountered in H.G.CO. beehives. The damage-prone wire ridges are in perfect condition and overall the piece is in stunning very, very near mint condition. For another amber beehive see lot 75. Amber beehives are gaining in popularity so add this to your collection now! UPDATE: 9/12 While looking at this piece closely for a third time, we found two paper thin flakes less than 1/8" wide, on a bit of a rough mold line perhaps from a very slight overpour. They are not on the skirt, they are towards the base, but not on the part of the base that the insulator rests on. Seen in view 3 at about 11 o'clock. There is a slightly larger flake at 12 o'clock which were aware of. We would probably call it easily very near mint now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,155       Color: Dark Orange Amber
The medium dark color in the spectrum of H.G.CO. beehives. 1" wire ridge bruise on the rear, two 3/8" flakes on the wire groove, otherwise very near mint. For another amber beehive see lot 76. Flashy color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $374       Color: "J" Green
People familiar with "J" Green will recognize this color immediately. Others might consider it Candy Apple Green. In any case, it's a gorgeous insulator with a rich, saturated color. The inner skirt is chipped off but looking at it you might not even notice. 1 1/2" base flake/chip, and some other flakes and base roughness. Don't let the condition scare you; the color is stunning!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $121       Color: Blue w/ Milk Ribbons
Attractive milk ribbons wind up and down from the skirt to the pinhole in a nice blue glass. About very, very near mint. A great addition to your beehive collection!

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $209       Color: Yellowy Green
What a great color! 2" diagonal fracture as can be seen in the rear, otherwise very near mint. Contrasts well with your blue Americans!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $2,090       Color: Yellow Olive Green
Excellent condition and a stand out color. UPDATE: 9/6 Added view 3 contrasting this with a Yellow Olive Green (left, lot 30) and Chartreuse (right). (photo is a little too green) Is it Yellow Olive Chartreuse? Well, you can decide the exact color! For completeness, we'll mention a 1/4" bubble on the base removes just one letter of the strong base embossing. Nice "wavy" out of round skirt!

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $688       Color: Purple
Strong purple coloring! Small flake on an open bubble on the skirt. Update: (see view 3) There is a fish eye bruise as pointed to by the upper arrow and part of that extends through the glass to the pinhole some of which is pointed to by the lower arrow. Very hard to see and no glass missing. Factory annealing line can be seen on the front. Large bold reverse shop number "90" engraved over a smaller number. Some examples can be more washed out and pale, but this is a well-saturated color. This would be a great addition to your CREB, beehive or purple collection.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $253       Color: Milky Aqua w/ Bubbles
Great character in this piece! Very near mint. You occasionally find Hemingray-manufactured beehives such as this, but it's harder to find examples with the Brookfield embossing. Within the translucence, you can see very attractive swirls and bubbles. A beautiful and eye-catching insulator for sure!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - STAR       Sold For: $154       Color: Olive Green w/ Amber
Rich amber swirls throughout create a "tiger-striped" effect similar to the "B" beehives. Heavy amber tones give most of the piece a deep olive coloration, but there are some more pronounced swirls on the front and a richer olive amber in the rear. About very near mint. A real beauty!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - POSTAL       Sold For: $462       Color: Sage/Purple Two Tone
What a stunning color! Purple tones can be seen throughout the insulator, especially in the dome. An attractive 1/2" bubble shows in the front. Produced by the California Glass Insulator Company, this example is in wonderful condition. This is the most desirable color for these insulators, so grab it now and don't let it get away!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - POSTAL       Sold For: $94       Color: Aqua w/ Milk Streak
This Postal beehive sports two large stringy globs: one to the left on the front skirt and another near the upper wire groove in the rear. 1/4" base flake, otherwise easily very near mint. The character in this piece isn't something you see very often!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $396       Color: Sapphire Blue
Here's another classic from New England! If you ever find yourself wondering if an insulator is actually Sapphire Blue, you only have to look at this one! 3/8" open bubble on the front base and a factory "divot" on the crown. The well-saturated color makes this piece a beautiful example of the style and the color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $484       Color: Candy Apple Green
What a stunning color! Greener than many, the piece just lights up a room! The clear shiny glass intensifies the color even more, and the very near mint condition makes this insulator a winner!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $44       Color: Ice Steel Blue
This insulator demonstrates one of the many pastel shades that H.G.CO. Petticoat beehives have been found in. 1/2" base flake, otherwise very near mint. Perhaps this example will find a spot in your Petticoat spectrum!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $50       Color: Blue Aqua w/ Milk Swirls
Milky veils swirl around in the skirt of this pretty blue beehive. Update: Front-lit photo in view 1 was added. The damage-prone wire ridge is perfect and the overall insulator about very, very near mint. What a gem!

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $418       Color: Rich Purple
The rich purple color will be the first thing you notice when you look at this piece. Upon closer inspection, you will see a 1 1/2" and a 3/4" bubble to the right of center. From the straight-on view in the photo, one can see it as the lighter spot to the right, just above the wire groove, as well as on the left side of the rear view. 3/8" wire ridge flake and 1/4" crown ding, otherwise easily very near mint. A deep, rich, well-saturated color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $94       Color: Rich Apple Green
Strong, bold embossing. Backwards shop number "2" for the specialist. Easily very near mint. The skirt would shine with a cleaning. A great addition to your Brookfield beehive collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $22       Color: Snowy Fizzy Light Aqua
Nice bold crown embossing! Basically factory mint with 1/4" open bubble on the base and a lehr kiss. Small bubbles and particles of snow give this insulator a translucent effect.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $528       Color: Lavender
Brookfield beehives are often seen in shades of medium purple, but this is the less common contrasting lavender color. Outstanding condition. This insulator will look great with those other shades of purple!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $352       Color: "Sapphire Blue" w/ Amber Swirls
An odd color that probably started as Sapphire Blue, but there are areas of amber which change the shade of blue and give the skirt a two-tone effect! About very near mint. An attractive coloration that catches your eye!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - HAWLEY       Sold For: $187       Color: "Junky" Blue
Hawley cow, Batman! Junky and crude, filled with bubble trails and chunks of soot! There are so many creases and folds on the front of the insulator that you can't read the "Harloe Insulator Company" monogram of "H", "I", and "Co". It's amazing, given how crude the insulator is and the junk in it, that it's in fantastic condition. It's easy to see this insulator selling for way above our estimate! A one-of-a-kind standout piece for the Hawley/Harloe collector!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $396       Color: Name that Blue
Outstanding condition. Nice clarity in the glass that is punctuated with speckles of bubbles. Not your basic blue color, but something more unusual!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,100       Color: Yellow Orange Amber
Leans towards Yellow Amber, but we'll be conservative in our description. One of the lighter medium shades in the amber beehive spectrum. 1/4" base open bubble, 1/8" dome ding, otherwise easily very near mint. More of a yellow coloration when compared with lot 80 as can be seen in view 3. The amber beehives are popular and this is a nice "tweener" color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $33       Color: Light Aqua w/ Milk Ribbon
A spaghetti strand of milk does a loop-de-loop in the dome, winds down to the base and back up into the dome. Additionally, some microbubble fizz adds character. Very near mint. Mold "K" for the specialist.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,375       Color: Rich Orange Amber
A beautiful shade in the middle of the spectrum of amber-colored beehives. A scratch, an 1/8" flake on the rear wire ridge, otherwise very near mint. Update: 10/26 6pm the pictures have been replaced with ones that we feel represent the color better. The originals were a little too vivid and too orange. The Orange Amber coloration contrasts well with the yellower amber beehive seen in lot 79 in view 3. A great example of this popular color and ready to display!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W.TEL.CO.       Sold For: $105       Color: Dark Purple
Many of these come in the deeper shade of Royal Purple, but this example is lighter in color and allows you to see the purple coloration more clearly. Some minor scuffing, several dings and an open bubble on the rear. It was produced for the Great North Western Telegraph Company, and no collection should be without one of these Purple gems!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $143       Color: Light Aqua w/ Milk
A nice 1/2" milk band punctuated with an amber stripe can be seen in the dome. A milk ribbon meanders around the dome and into the skirt. About very near mint. A neat piece!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $297       Color: Light Aqua w/ Helix Spirals
A thick milky ribbon spirals around the threads, making two full revolutions. Very near mint. A very highly unusual distribution of milk which we haven't seen in any insulator. The spiral is amazing!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $231       Color: Bright Lime Green
Three date variant. Very, very near mint. Typical "wavy" skirt and an oval pinhole from the collapsible plunger. Some bands of milk in the skirt add more character. A classic American in great condition!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $88       Color: Bright Blue
1/8" ding on the dome, otherwise virtually factory mint! There's an interesting "cold pour" texture on the dome. There is typically a long "threadless" segment at the top of the pinhole which is characteristic of Samuel Oakman's molding process. These threads go almost all the way to the top of the piece. A nice example from the American Insulator Company in a stunning Bright Blue!

SI-145 - Brookfield Salesman's Sample {CD 145 style}       Sold For: $578       Color: Light Aqua
1/8" skirt flake removes "I" in "BROOKFIELD", 1/8" inner skirt chip at right mold line, very slight underpour. 1" diameter and 1 1/8" tall. Boldly embossed "BROOKFIELD" in the front and "NY" in the rear, with a well-formed inner skirt. This is an extremely rare piece, with only perhaps three known. Two have sold in the $3,000 price range in the past ten years. Although commonly referred to as a "salesman's sample", this item may have actually been a promotional item, perhaps given out by a salesman! This is quite a small insulator. It is shown actual size next to a standard CD 145 Brookfield. Specialty collectors, take note of this true gem; who knows if you'll ever have another chance to acquire one?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $578       Color: Rich Purple
Outstanding condition! Some of these Brookfield beehives are washed out, but this is one of the darker shades you will find. These are growing in popularity, and the dark, well-saturated color and excellent condition make this one of the best you will find!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - T.C.R.       Sold For: $187       Color: Steel Gray Tint
Very, very near mint. This is a very difficult embossing to acquire, especially in great condition. This stout and heavy piece of glass with a low pinhole will look great on your shelf!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $99       Color: Christmas Tree Green
Odd 1" x 1/8" "hole" on the rear crown that may be a factory molding defect. A couple of 1/4" fisheyes, otherwise about very near mint. See lot 79 for another great green N.E.G.M.CO. piece. The glass is nice and clear. When combined with the extra dome glass, this bright saturated green color really stands out!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $154       Color: "Sapphire Blue" w/ Amber Swirls
About 2" of base flaking and 1/2" scratch in the rear. Appears to have a 1/2" diameter, 1/8" deep factory blemish at the left mold line. The edges are smooth, so it doesn't appear to be damage from use. An odd color that probably started as Sapphire Blue, but there are areas of amber which change the shade of Blue and give the skirt a two-tone effect!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M.CO.       Sold For: $935       Color: Deep Olive Green
1" skirt stress line in the rear, otherwise very near mint. While Sapphire Blue units are often seen, this coloration is much less common but equally desirable! See lot 78 for a bright green example, and see how the two make a great duo!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $1,705       Color: Orange Amber
Great condition, just three 1/8" flakes on the base. The insulator is filled with "fizz" made of tiny bubbles which catch the light and make the color brighter. This is the darkest and the least common of the three primary colors of H.G. CO. amber beehives. The last one we sold went for well over $2,000! The demand for these is increasing and one can see why!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $33       Color: Light Cornflower Blue
A few areas of flaking on the sharp, damage-prone upper wire groove. Shop letter "J" for the specialist. Nice clarity to the glass!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G.CO.       Sold For: $330       Color: Bright Glowing Green
1/2" open bubble near the right mold line, otherwise about very near mint with some flakes here and there. There is excellent clarity in the glass, and the bright, well-saturated color is even better appreciated when seen in person!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - Grand Canyon style       Sold For: $121       Color: Steel Blue Gray
Great condition with a few typical annealing lines on the inner skirt. This is known as the "Grand Canyon Beehive" as they were extensively used between Williams, Arizona, and the Grand Canyon Village.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W.TEL.CO.       Sold For: $99       Color: Dark Purple
About very, very near mint. Many of these come in the deeper shade of Royal Purple, but this example is lighter in color and allows you to see the purple coloration more clearly. It was produced for the Great North Western Telegraph Company, and no collection should be without one!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $1,155       Color: Amber "Tiger" w/ Huge Bubble
There is a 2" wide by 1" tall bubble in the skirt that is open to the inside! The air in this bubble displaced so much glass that there is virtually no inner skirt on the insulator, and one can see the lighter outline against the darker glass of the insulator. There are also heavy amber swirls in the Dark Olive Amber glass. This beehive is crude, with creases and several lehr kisses at the mold lines, a couple of 1/8" flakes on the wire ridge, and a 3/4" bruise on the base. Bubble trails near the surface of the glass, along with some creases, outline a 3/4" diameter area. While you may be able to find another beehive in this coloration, it is extremely unlikely you will ever find one with such an amazing bubble!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR.CO.       Sold For: $61       Color: Bright Blue
Two 1/4" wire ridge flakes, otherwise about very near mint. The absence of threads in the upper part of the pinhole, characteristic of insulators produced by the American Insulator Company, enhances the depth of color. What an attractive shade of blue!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM.INSULATOR.CO.       Sold For: $121       Color: Green
(3 dates) 1/4" wire ridge flake, 1/8" crown flake, otherwise very near mint. One can see the typical "threadless" segment at the top of the pinhole which is characteristic of Samuel Oakman's molding process. A nice example from the American Insulator Company!

CD-145 - W. BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $72       Color: Bright Yellowy Green
A little flaking on the factory overpour at the base and a 1/4" open bubble on the inner skirt. Crude surface texture and the presence of bubbles produce an interesting effect. Various areas, especially in the front, have some amber blended in, enhancing the presentation and giving it a bit of a two-tone effect.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W. BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $578       Color: Rich Purple
1/8" dome ding and a thin 3/8" inner skirt chip, otherwise very, very near mint. The "dent" on the base seen in view 1 is a small factory open bubble with no associated flaking. Some Brookfield purples are washed out and/or have weak embossing. This is a strong saturated purple with easy-to-read embossing. An interesting plus is a large 3/4" bubble along with a black impurity that looks just like a tadpole! A step or two above your typical purple Brookfield!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M. CO.       Sold For: $187       Color: Rich Yellow Green
Two lehr "kisses", one on the front crown and one on the rear crown. Stress line on the rear running from above the bottom of the skirt to below the dome. The low pinhole and the nice saturation of the glass really show off the color well. A bright and stunning beehive!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - HG Co       Sold For: $1,980       Color: Orange amber.
Of the three primary amber shades found in the H.G. Co Petticoat lineup (orange amber, golden amber & yellow amber), this is the scarcest. The combined rich orange color and fizzy bubbles produce magnificent eye appeal, especially with suitable lighting. With mint examples surpassing the 2K mark, this vnm example should easily hit or surpass the estimated range. Unless you are an absolute mint purist, the very minor flaws should not affect your decision to add this desirable beehive to your collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - HG Co       Sold For: $880       Color: Bright golden yellow amber.
An interesting shade that appears to be a 'tweener' color; a bit darker than a yellow amber, yet brighter and lighter than the typical golden amber. The myriads of tiny champagne bubbles only add greater appeal to this gorgeous color.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO.       Sold For: $440       Color: Rich Yellowy Green
1/2" open base bubble, otherwise about very near mint. A difficult and distinctive color to describe, it is similar to the distinctive "J Green" shop mold color. Excellent clarity in the glass, great color density and the well saturated color really make this piece stand out. This will be one of your prize "beehives"!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W. TEL. CO.       Sold For: $121       Color: Royal Purple
Wonderful condition. Some neat folds and creases in the glass. A classic and affordable color from the "Great North Western Telegraph Company!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B       Sold For: $462       Color: "Tiger" Striped Amber and Green
Two 3/8" base flakes, otherwise very near mint. Neat elliptical base! Good contrasting areas of amber and green in the skirt blend to a more dark amber coloration in the dome. They are now quite popular with collectors and one can see why; every piece is unique with its own character!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - B w/large bubble       Sold For: $495       Color: Deep green with large bubble.
A huge bubble wraps over the pinhole and down one side of the dome. This bubble measures 1-1/4 wide by nearly 3 long and appears to be completely sealed! Air bubbles of this size are rarely found in insulators, so here's an exclusive opportunity to add an extraordinary character piece to your collection. Found in Canada. (From the Jerry Markewich collection.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM. INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $154       Color: Rich Green
Very, very near mint. Americans come in a range of greens, and this is a rich, medium shade. The typical American threads are well-formed at the bottom, tapering up to a virtual threadless cylinder. Combine color and condition and you have an outstanding piece!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - W. BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $286       Color: Rich Purple
A 2" base bruise and 1/2" x 1" flake down from the wire groove as can be seen in the photo. Weak embossing, which is typical for these units. No shop number. Some of the purple Brookfields can be a little washed out, but this example is darker and more saturated than most. A colorful example!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - STAR       Sold For: $143       Color: Swirled Amber/Olive Green
Great condition! There is an interesting "button", about the diameter of a dime, on the dome. Heavy amber tones color most of the piece a rich deep olive color, but there are some more pronounced swirls. The front shows a pronounced two tone effect, while the rear view is much darker than what is typically encountered. Great STAR!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M. CO.       Sold For: $484       Color: Rich Sapphire Blue
A few small bruises and flakes scattered around. This is an outstanding color! The clarity of the glass and the low pinhole really show off the depth and rich coloration of this insulator. Your classic "Reference Sapphire" and one of the most desirable colors for this style!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO.       Sold For: $770       Color: Yellow Amber
Several areas of typical small flakes on the sharp upper wire ridge. Overall, very good condition. There's a neat 3/4" lehr kiss at the right mold line. The fizzy character of the glass adds some sparkle! Contrast this piece with lot 116 and lot 118 and see which will fit in with your lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO.       Sold For: $2,255       Color: Reddish Orange Amber
1" annealing fissure up from the base, slightly to the rear of the right mold line. This is the darkest of the three primary colors of H.G. CO. amber beehives. Contrast it with lot 117 and lot 116 for some variations. This insulator will truly stand out on your shelf!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO.       Sold For: $2,860       Color: True Yellow
"K" mold. 1/2" inner skirt chip at the left mold line, factory annealing fissure goes from the skirt over the dome. This is the coveted True Yellow H.G. CO. beehive. Compare this with the Yellow Amber unit in lot 117. This is not one of the three primary colors of amber beehives that are often referred to; it's in a class by itself! If you are familiar with the CD 162 Hemingray-19 Yellow signal, this color is even lighter and brighter! The fizz in the glass creates extra sparkle; this is one amazing insulator!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W. TEL. CO.       Sold For: $72       Color: Rich Deep Purple
Easily grades very near mint. These purple beehives were produced for the Great North Western Telegraph Company, which was established in 1880 to connect Ontario and Manitoba. This desirable and affordable purple "beehive" is always a popular addition to one's collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM. INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $1,265       Color: Rich Yellow Olive Green
Very, very near mint. A fantastic color for this American "beehive" and a great companion for lot 121. This rich, well-saturated color will really stand out on your shelf!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM. INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $550       Color: Yellow Olivey Green
Very good condition. This interesting variant has a more rounded dome, giving it more of a "bullet" shaped appearance. Compare it with lot 120 to see the difference. But what will catch your eye the most is the color. Outstanding display and an uncommon color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM. INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $72       Color: Glowing Turquoise Blue
Grades very near mint because of some rubbing in the wire groove. Some insulators have that hue and characteristic of the glass that really make the color "pop" and this is one of them. The faintly formed threads which are typical of Americans and the clarity of the dome glass really amplify the color. See lot 119 for a nice contrasting color. A true "glower"!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AM. INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $121       Color: Rich Apple Green
Fantastic condition! Typical out-of-round base and pinhole give it a little character. A few strands of milk in the skirt wind around the pinhole. Put this insulator next to lot 122 for a really neat contrasting pair! This piece is worth a premium between the wonderful condition and the striking saturated color!

Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

CD-145 - W. BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $88       Color: Bright Green
Some annealing lines, a 1/4" ding on the rear crown and a 1/2" bruise on the inner skirt, otherwise at least very near mint. This is an old Brookfield with the "45 Cliff St" embossing. Rear shop number 20 for the CREB collector. The embossing is particularly strong and easy to read. Contrast this with lot 77, which, while bearing the same shop number, is from a different mold. The nice bright color and the unusually strong embossing combine to make this one to add to your lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W. BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $264       Color: Glowing Yellow Green
3/8" base flake, a couple of factory imperfections in the front include a 1/4" spider from an embedded object in the glass. Some nice milky swirls and some junk in the glass can be seen. The embossing is unusually strong for this style. For the CREB collector, this is rear shop number 20. A different mold and a different color than lot 76, making for a great pair. This piece really glows!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W. BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $462       Color: Rich Purple
1/4" open bubble on the rear and a small associated flake. A nice 1/2" stretched bubble right in the front adds some character. The embossing is much stronger than typical for this style and easily readable. There appears to be a shop number with an overprint. Although some purple Brookfield behives are lighter and washed out, this one is a strong saturated shade of purple. A nice gem!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - STAR       Sold For: $286       Color: Aqua w/ Heavy Amber Swirling
{Pointed dome} The excellent condition and the more unique "pointed dome" style make this piece stand out from your typical CD 145's. The swirling and the separation of the colors are evident when viewed from any angle. Quite an attractive piece and a nice addition to your STAR collection!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - N.E.G.M. CO.       Sold For: $374       Color: Rich Bright Sapphire Blue
Two 1/2" base flakes and a 1/2" skirt flake. A factory imperfection on the front crown is not an open bubble and there is no glass missing. Factory open bubble at the left mold line in the wire groove. Sometimes you'll see a weaker, washed-out shade of sapphire that comes close but doesn't quite "make it." But this insulator is the real deal; what a stunning color! If you want your "reference Sapphire Blue" then this is the piece. The color is rich and well-saturated; it doesn't get better than this!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO. // PETTICOAT       Sold For: $908       Color: Golden Amber
Three pinky inner skirt flakes in the front and a couple of 3/8" base flakes on the base. The wire groove on this style is prone to flaking, but this one is in great shape! This is the lightest and most desirable shade of the three typical color variants in which the H.G.CO. Petticoat "beehive" has been found. The clarity of the glass, combined with the presence of tiny bubbles, really make the color "pop," and it will pop really well on your shelf!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO. // PETTICOAT       Sold For: $1,870       Color: Pea Soup Green
Excellent condition with just a 1/8" base flake in the rear. The bold, crisp embossing, the great clarity in the glass and the stand out color make this a truly amazing addition to your "Petticoat" lineup!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - G.N.W. TEL. CO.       Sold For: $88       Color: Deep Purple
Very, very near mint with just a 1/8" fish eye on the dome. 3/8" factory open bubble at the mold line. Produced for the Great Northwestern Telegraph Company. Always a desirable and affordable purple "beehive!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AMERICAN INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $187       Color: Bright Blue w/ Milk
Very good condition with distinct base embossing. What sets this apart is the great glob of milk and strong wisps of milk that dance around in the crown. One can see the typical "threadless" segment at the top of the pinhole characteristic of Samuel Oakman's molding process. A unique character piece!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AMERICAN INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $264       Color: Candy Apple Green
Great condition! The color is very similar to the "Candy Apple Green" color in which you find H.G.CO. "beehives." Clean and shiny!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AMERICAN INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $143       Color: Bright Lime Green
Excellent condition! This is the two date variant. One can see a milky wisp and quarter-inch sized bubbles, adding some neat character. A well-saturated and bright color!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AMERICAN INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $286       Color: Aqua/Green Two Tone
Easily grades very near mint. The stunning two tone split is right about at the wire groove. Below, it is aqua colored and above, it is a distinct bright yellow green. There are even some milky streaks running up one side into the dome. The strong, bold base embossing and the striking color separation combine to make this a truly special "American!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - AMERICAN INSULATOR CO.       Sold For: $462       Color: Bright Yellow Green
About a half dozen dings and flakes around the wire groove area in the rear. Three date variant. These come in a continuous spectrum of green and it's hard to pin a specific color on this piece. Good clarity of glass and the presence of lots of small bubbles really make the color pop!

CD-145 - {Unembossed Canadian}       Sold For: $66       Color: Light Limey Green w/ Milk Waterfall
Some factory roughness at the base of the inner skirt and a 1/2" flake at the base of the skirt, otherwise about very near mint. A great 1" wide milky waterfall drapes from the top of the pin down into the skirt. The thick, clear glass in the dome magnifies this even more! (#0113)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - W.G.M. CO.       Sold For: $50       Color: Purple
1 1/2" base bruise, 1 1/4" base sliver, otherwise easily grades very near mint. A few heavy folds in the glass, one of which can be seen in the front. The Western Glass Manufacturing Company operated from 1900 through 1909. Many of their insulators contained manganese for decolorization, thus the purple hues. (#0124)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - H.G. CO.       Sold For: $83       Color: Fizzy Snowy Blue Aqua
3/8" paper thin skirt flake towards the left mold line, a little roughness on the base where there was an overpour, otherwise very very near mint. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

(#0404)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

CD-145 - BROOKFIELD       Sold For: $77       Color: Fizzy Light Blue Aqua
