CD-253 - KNOWLES Sold For: $176 Color: Yellowy Green
 | This rich green coloration shows amber swirls, especially in the thick glass of the ears! Unusual for these pieces, there is a 1/2" x 1 1/2" patch of milk on the outer skirt that also extends to the inner skirt. This insulator led a hard life, with some small areas of pitting and some scuffs and dings here and there. 1 1/2" stress line/fracture up from the base in the rear. An impressive color, especially for an insulator this large! |

 | Attractive amber swirls can be seen in the thick glass of the ears as well as in other areas of the insulator. A little scuffing on a few letters in the embossing, otherwise very near mint. Most of these are found in shades of aqua and blue. The Yellow Green units are much less common and very desirable. A colorful addition to your power collection! |

 | There appears to be a bubble that was formed on the top of the pinhole, creating an attractive view when looking through the transparent saddle and ears. Some nice amber wisps can also be seen in the ears. Potstone spider on the saddle and the base is slightly flattened. Very nice condition and color for this large power piece! |

CD-253 - KNOWLES Sold For: $578 Color: Yellow Green
 | These large insulators were produced for the electrical supply vendor C.S. Knowles Company, which operated in the Boston area and manufactured various styles of power insulators. A very hard-to-see fracture is present in around 3/4" of the pinhole, perhaps from being used on a metal pin. A few large bubbles floating in the ears add interest! |
