CD-262 - Columbia Dark Aqua Sold For: $525
CD 262 Columbia (010) Dark Aqua. Great condition! I've sold a lot of #2 Columbia's over the years, but never one that looked as nice as this one. The only distractions are some grime in the eyes that will easily clean off; and a short, natural, annealing separation in the threads.

CD-262 - COLUMBIA Sold For: $231 Color: Aqua
The insulator hobby has nicknamed this style "Baby Columbia" although in the trades it was called the "No 2 Columbia." It is significantly smaller than the regular-sized CD 263 "Columbia" and is also less common than its larger counterpart. 1/4" flake/ding on the ear, a little wear on the base, otherwise about very near mint. The "tie eyes" design was patented by Samuel Oakman on May 12, 1891 and makes for a unique style of insulator. Although the patent mentions "one or more eyes", the patent drawing shows the insulator with just a single "eye". This "baby" is much less common than the larger CD 263 style; they will look great together on a shelf!

CD-262 - COLUMBIA Sold For: $275 Color: Green Aqua EIN: [010]
A rich, deep color which is close to green! The "Baby Columbia" insulators contrast well with their CD 263 big brothers in lot 141 and lot 142. 1/2" and 1/8" ear flakes, otherwise about very near mint. This No 2 style, or "Baby Columbia", is smaller in size than the "full-size" Columbias seen in lot 142 and RMO2001. Very near mint. The "tie eyes" design was patented by Samuel Oakman on May 12, 1891 and makes for a unique style of insulator! Although the patent mentions "one or more eyes", the patent drawing shows the insulator with just a single "eye". This "baby" is much less common than the larger CD 263 style; they look great together on a shelf!

CD-262 - No 2 COLUMBIA Sold For: $319 Color: Light Aqua
Unless you consider a tiny ping much smaller than a pinhead to be "damage", this is mint! Nicknamed "Baby Columbia" as it is smaller than its CD 263 cousin, it is also less common. You see the aqua ones for sale all the time, but this lighter color is more attractive and is more elusive. Quite a pretty piece!

CD-262 - No 2 COLUMBIA Sold For: $264 Color: Blue Aqua
| Easily very, very near mint. Nicknamed "Baby Columbia" because of its smaller size compared to lot 181, lot 182 and lot 183. The "tie eyes" design was patented by Samuel Oakman on May 12, 1891, and makes for a unique style of insulator! Although the patent mentions "one or more eyes" the patent drawing shows the insulator with just a single "eye". CD-262 - COLUMBIA Sold For: $242 Color: Green Aqua w/ Wire Earring
Factory mint. Green aqua, leaning towards green. In addition to its outstanding condition, this insulator has a 3/4" piece of wire that can be seen in the lower right ear and bends over into the "eye" of the insulator. View 2 shows several magnets easily sticking to this piece of wire. A nice example for the Columbia collector, and a special piece for the "junk in glass" collector! (#0155)
