| This is a stunning Emerald Green insulator, produced by the New England Glass Manufacturing Company and nicknamed the "Fishbowl" for its shape and its large volume of glass! These units were used only on Boston's old elevated "Orange Line." In great condition with the exception of a fracture that runs from the saddle groove around the left of the front ear to the right mold line. The "Fishbowl" is always a popular style, especially desirable in Emerald Green. Own a piece of Boston history! |

| The underpoured ears and the slightly slumped sides give this a bit of a "chubby" appearance compared to a standard example. To add interest, there is some amber in the ears, a milk streak across the middle of the skirt, and a few bubbles. A factory molding mark about 1/2" wide and 2" tall on the front, otherwise very near mint. A big hunk of glass that is a welcome addition to your collection! |
