CD-292 - PATENT JUNE 17 1890 Sold For: $154 Color: Rich Green
| This insulator bears Samuel Oakman's patent of June 17, 1890 for "dovetail projections" to "receive and hold wires." The patent is usually associated with the "Mickey Mouse" and "Roman Helmet" insulators but is applicable here because of the saddle groove. Chatter around the overpoured base, 1/4" flake under the left rear ear, a couple of 3/4" scratches. This example will be a colorful addition to your power collection! |

CD-292 - PATENT JUNE 17 Sold For: $105 Color: Emerald Green

The patent is usually associated with the "Mickey Mouse" and "Roman Helmet" insulators but is applicable here because of the saddle groove. Some small areas of light scuffing on the dome and skirt, otherwise very near mint. The insulator was likely produced for the Boston area electrical supplies dealer C.S. Knowles Company. A beautiful color for this power piece! |
