| CD 637.9 No Embossing (Made in Uzbekistan) Green. In addition to the WOW factor of its overall appearance, this insulator has some hidden character. There's a small, screw-shaped, white, worm in the top umbrella, and an inch-long bubble at one point on the edge of the lower umbrella. Our consignor says he's been told no more of these will be shipped from where they were found in Kazakhstan. This is expected to be the last of the best color & quality examples to be made available in America. Although never put in service, this insulator has a few tiny nibbles on some of its sharp edges. Nothing large enough to be called a flake. There are a number of natural & shallow annealing lines, mostly in the base. This is a fairly large insulator, measuring 5 7/8ths inches wide at base and 8.5 inches tall. Be sure to see all four views. |
