Bill & Jill Insulators - Next Auction: Coming Soon

U-709 - {Unmarked}       Sold For: $440       Color: Brown w/ Black Mottling
Excellent condition. Amazing black flame shaped mottling covers more than half of the insulator. The coloration is very unusual, and this is believed to be the only known example. The pattern is similar to the markings on the belly of a tabby cat or the feathers of a duck, although of course the color is not accurate! This insulator came from the Dick Gay collection, and it attracted much attention among porcelain collectors when it was brought to a show. We can certainly see why! Even a diehard glass collector has to say "WOW" when they see this piece!
