 | Known as the Saratoga style threadless. This deep yellow olive green CD 718 measures in at 4 in height, maybe a bit shorter than the average height for this CD, which can vary significantly. This visually pleasing style was produced by both Canadian and American manufacturers. They continue to see increased interest from collectors. View 1 & View 2 are indoor back lighting; View 3 is direct outdoor lighting. |

CD-718 - {Unembossed} Sold For: $77 Color: Olive Blackglass
 | A little base roughness, overall pretty good condition for this "Egg" style. UPDATE: after very close examination, it appears the dome has been expertly repaired and is all resin. A light clear coat was applied down to the wire groove to smooth out the repair. A blacklight can be used to highlight repairs. The result of viewing this under blacklight is shown in view 3. Note that the color is much more of a mustard yellow than is shown here, but you can clearly see exactly what was done. This is using an inexpensive blacklight you can buy at pet stores for $20 or so. Various glass houses in the US and Canada produced a number of mold variants of this sytle. This one is quite short, being only 3 1/2" tall, so it will contrast well in your 718 lineup! |
